At the darkest time of Stalinist terror in Poland two young people fall in love. Wiesia and Jerzy are political prisoners incarcerated in neighbouring cells, who start communicating via Morse code. Those conversations become their only respite from the brutal reality of the prison. Without ever seeing each other, they fall in love and heroically fight to be together. The film is based on an incredible true story.
