In Algeria during the “Black Decade,” Kamel, a journalist, investigates the massacres and silences of a country ravaged by violence. In a bar in Oran, he meets Haroun, a solitary retiree who reveals another wound of history: he claims to be the brother of “the Arab” whose death is described in one of the most famous books of the twentieth century, Albert Camus’ The Stranger – “the Arab” whose erased name was Moussa. Through their encounter, a confrontation between two eras, two murders, and two wounded memories unfolds.
