1959. Professor Keating arrives to teach literature at Welton Academy. Through poetry, Keating urges his students to achieve independence of thought and to shun conformity. This is not an easy task in an oppressive and elitist institution such as Welton. “Tradition, honour, discipline, excellence” are the four pillars on which the iron convictions of teachers and parents rest. Keating exposes a crack in this worldview, as outside the walls of the school, everything is already changing. Selected by Katarzyna Herman.
