Jazz, cinema and archival footage from the Educational Film Studio (WFO) come together in one project. Kraków-based collective OMASTA will present original interpretations of music by Krzysztof Komeda, Jerzy “Duduś” Matuszkiewicz, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski and Henryk Kuźniak. The live music will be accompanied by visuals created by Laura Pawela using archival footage from the Educational Film Studio. It is a meeting of music, film and archive – classic compositions of Polish jazz take on a new sound, while images from the past return in a new context.
